Read the rules, bring lots of cash A review of The Sagamore

The Sagamore is a great place if you love a well ordered and expensive vacation. Every order is charged an 18% service fee regardless of where it is served. The staff is constantly telling you that you are breaking some rule or another and adding that they are unable to accommodate your requests. One evening my brother and I were asked to leave the dock because of the danger of drowning. That is, two middle aged men need a lifeguard at the Sagamore dock at 11PM. The staff is vague to hostile when you request a private banquet or meeting boating facility for a small group. They said that these facilities were reserved for large groups. Even when pressed they refused to say how large a large group was. In short the staff is haughty and vaguely hostile. The rules of the resort are tedious and arbitrary. The local animals pick at the dirty dishes left after room service and every service is charged an 18% gratuity weather you like it or not.
