Radisson was Ok! A review of Hilton Miami Downtown
My husband, six year old son and I arrived at the hotel before 12:00pm after getting off of Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas. We had no problems checking in early. We were given a room on the first floor with a view of a parking lot. We really did not expect a lot for the price we paid ($40). Although the room was clean, it was a bit drab. Not enough lighting available. The room suited us for the day (our flight was due to leave Miami at 8:00pm). The staff was very professional. Our porter, Andrew was very helpful. He gave us information on how to get downtown using the free monorail system. When we returned from downtown, we decided to shower and change our clothes. Some of the towels in the bathroom were stained. They definitely need to be replaced. The hotel bar/restaurant looked very nice. We did not eat at the hotel, so we have no opinion about the food. The hotel had a good size pool. We stayed at the Radisson Cable Beach, Nassau in August 2003 and the accommodations were much better. This was not booked through Priceline. I will try Priceline again, but the next time I need a hotel in Miami, I will try for a 4 star hotel.
