Quality Inn Oceanfront A review of Quality Inn Oceanfront

Nicely located on 57th St., our beachfront efficiency seemed overpriced for the visible wear in the room. Our family did a 3 night mid-week stay in late June. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful from luggage, information and directions and everything was clean, but the room needs some updating. The kitchen and bath show their age. The stove, the vent above it and the freezer all had damage but were usable. The remote for the TV was held together with black tape and made it very sticky and unpleasant to use, so we didn't. The screen on the sliding door was completely broken off its track, so you couldn't use it either. The building overall is very nice in appearance. Has an atrium with a small pool inside and one outside. We could hear the plumbing from the room next door constantly. Parking was good. We have mixed feelings on this stay. Overall, for the amount of time we spent in the room, it was ok, but would have been better if modernized. Compared to others we've stayed in from this chain, this one was a bit of a dissapointment. We'd probably stay there again unless we find a recommendation for a better beachfront efficiency. We could have gotten a cheaper rate with AAA or Entertainment, but we would have had to settle for a "smoking room". That would have made it worse.
