Probably over-rated A review of Palace Road Hotel Prague
Making reservation at this establishment wasn't the easiest. It couldn't be completed online as it relied on a non-fillable PDF form (or Word document) and a signature was required (so we filled in the form and emailed it back).
We were expecting stairs (as stated on their website) but a bit more help with luggage could have been offered, especially with the "no parking, tow away" warning along Nerunova. Free parking is about 10 minutes' walk up the hill in a different zone (initially a bit worried about the safety but our vehicle was untouched!)
We stayed at the Sycamore apartment. The "apartment" was basically just a room with en suite facility. The bathroom was rather small but the bed was comfortable. The windows opened to a small courtyard and so there was no view and not much natural light. There was a little bar fridge, a kettle, 2 mugs (1 chipped) and 2 glasses. This is pretty unusual in Europe.
We were provided with very hearty breakfasts, and those who like organic stuff would like this place. The staff (most of the ones we met were from North American) speak English and so it was reassuring. Finding the place shouldn't be too difficult as very clear instructions were given.
It's worth noting that payment in cash in Euro is expected. We paid EUR247 for two nights, which probably was not the best value for money.
Pick a room facing Nerudova - this would offer an excellent view of magical Prague!
