Pretty awful A review of Cambridge Gateway Inn
Oh dear me! I stayed here last year (April 2003) for a friends wedding and this place is just awful. It took us about an hour to find it as it is on a 'turnpike' - a term unfamiliar to us Brits! Once we found it we kind of wished we hadn't!!
The rooms were large and clean, but the bathroom's were a lovely shade of orange or blue and looked like the were installed in the 70's, the carpet was awful and the fridge stank. The view from the window was a building site and all in all it was pretty miserable. We could also hear the conversation from next door and didn't actually feel all that safe in the hotel. Housekeeping didn't lock our room when we were out in the day, luckily nothing was stolen.
Okay, so it's cheap and the shuttle service to the underground is good, but if I was going to Boston again I would stay in the City Centre.
