Pleasant Stay A review of Hotel Jalta
I have stayed in the Jalta Hotel twice, in June 04 and February 05. I agree with other comments that the reception area is rather dull and the rooms, whilst immaculate are small for a 5* rating. The "Hot" restaurant was excellent and although pricey residents do get 15% discount on meals there. Each room has a mini bar and it is very tempting to delve in the fridge and help yourself to the contents, but beware one small bottle of beer is £3.00. I found the reception staff very helpful and professional. I hope to return to Prague at the end of the year. It is a great city with beautiful buildings and great places to visit, all within easy walking distance. Next time however I will be staying in the "Lesser Town" on the other side of Charles Bridge. The streets and buildings are quaint, less commercialised and far prettier than those in Wenceslas Square.
