Pleasant place to visit A review of Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel

I just came back from my four night stay at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Overall, I'd say the hotel was above average. I didn't try any of the restaurants within the hotel except for one of them for the breakfast buffet - and it was very pleasant since they had nice seats outside. The food was average, and the waitstaff was very nice. What I really liked about the hotel was the fact that it was right on the beach. If you want to relax on the beach, get something quick to eat (Sandwiches, salads, drinks) then there is an outdoor bar right outside of the hotel with a pool attached to it. The staff there was also very nice. The beach is also nice in the evening, it's very quiet, but the hotel has huge spotlights that lights up the sand in the hotel area so it was very safe and pretty to hang out late night. If you walk about 10-15 minutes, there are restaurants and shops (Beach Place). Though it's not as crowded during weekdays, during the weekend it was full of people and restaurants overlook the ocean with a nice breeze - so it's very nice. If you don't have a car - with about $10 cab ride (one way) you can go to Riverfront which has more younger crowd with lots of bars, shopping and restaurants.Overall, my stay at the hotel was very pleasant, the area was fun. It would definitely revisit for a nice relaxing vacation.
