Pleasant experience in Shilo Inn, Oakhurst A review of Yosemite Southgate Hotel & Suites
An unorganized trip to yosemite had my wife and I no place to stay till 11:00pm. Yosemite surely gets travellers' attention during summer in terms of the fact--no one single room avaliable within 40 mile radius of Yosemite National Park. Shilo Inn was the only place the last place we checked had avaliable room after phoning more than dozens of hotels. First impression, the counter employee was nice. They gave us a warm welcome; they did this like we were friends to them. The room we stayed was spacious and had a neat refrigerator provided with a number of drinks. Their continental breakfast was a blast, had a wide variety of food--milk, orange juice, donuts, bagels, cereal, cupped instant noodle, and fruit. Probably the best free breakfast provided by hotels I have ever seen. The people at the front desk were very nice. Never had a chance to use the pool. Just looked from outside, it's kind of small though and not private, location-wise. One interesting fact, they had popcorn available 24 hours, which is nice. I would recommand this hotel to my friends and am willing to stay again in the future.
