Picturesque A review of Desert Pearl Inn
We recently experienced our first visit to Zion National Park and to the Desert Pearl Inn. The hotel is wonderful. The service and accommodations are both excellent. The hotel is nestled in one of the most picturesque places in the country, surrounded by giant orange and red monoliths, about 1/2 mile from the entrance to Zion National Park. Access to the park is very simple, via shuttle buses that come through town frequently. There is a shuttle stop 1/2 block from the Desert Pearl Inn. Hiking in the park is superb. There are numerous trails ranging from easy to difficult. There's something for everyone. Breakfast is no problem in town. Try the Bumbleberry Inn for great pancakes. Dinner is a bit tricky. It depends on what you like to eat. The town of Springdale is like a comfortable country village with many shops and stops. If you like being outdoors, walking/hiking and enjoying the richness of the earth, you'll enjoy Zion and the Desert Pearl Inn - I highly recommend this place. Stay a few days, and enjoy the Watchmen's trail - moderately difficult but quite spectacular.
