Perfectly Okay (but be careful with cabs...) A review of Hotel MdR-A DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel

Stayed 3 nights here while in town for a wedding. Room and service were completely adequate for the price (wedding-party rate of 119/night.) Pool area and restaurant/lounge are rather nice.

My most important advice if you stay here: If you take a cab from someplace back to this hotel, be as extremely explicit as you possibly can when you talk to the driver. Our first three cab rides, we told the driver "Courtyard Marriott on Maxella," and were taken to either the regular Marriott on Admiralty, or the Sheraton Delfina in Santa Monica (!). Only on the fourth and final taxi ride of our trip, when we identified our hotel slowly and loudly and then made the driver repeat it back to us, did we get there on the first try. (I know this is not a comment about the hotel itself, but it seems like good advice for other visitors.)
