Perfectly fine! A review of Newport Beach Hotel & Suites
We spent Thanksgiving of 2004 here and thought the hotel was just fine. It was clean and well kept up, if a little worn around the edges. (The building is 60+ years old, after all!) We did request a different room due to a leaky shower in the first room we were given, and the front desk staff was very gracious and accomodating. The continental breakfast was also good, with plenty of variety and nothing stale as far as I could tell! The hotel was wonderfully quiet, even with a busy street right outside, and the beds were very comfy, too. (I slept like a rock all three nights we were there.) Also, I have dreadful dust and mold allergies and developed no symptoms at all staying there. It was a good "base of operations" for our sightseeing as it was very convenient to downtown Newport and the Bellevue Ave mansions, and the ocean was just steps away from the front door. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for someplace quiet and cozy, and we would happily stay there again.
