Perfectly acceptable lodgings at extremely reasonable rates A review of Boston Hotel Buckminster
I was in Boston the weekend of December 5-7, 2003 for a family wedding, and my stay here was absolutely fine. It was clean, cheap, $80/night, comfortable, and nicely decorated. *No* bedbugs--I was there three nights and did not see or encounter any sign of an infestation. Each floor has a kitchen and a laundry room, and each room has a microwave and a refrigerator. Location is excellent--it's a short jog down Commonwealth Av. to the Kenmore Green Line T stop, and down Beacon St.
to Boston University. On the lower level there are two restaurants--a Chicago Pizzeria Uno and a sushi bar that also serves a basic American breakfast. My only caveat is that the walls are somewhat thin and you need to keep your radio and television volumes at low levels early in the morning and late at night. We'll definitely be back to stay here next time we're in Boston.
