Perfect A review of Hotel Residence Retezova
We spent five days at the Residence Retezova, which offers suites with well-outfitted kitchens and dining tables, as well as sitting areas and bedrooms, but unlike apartments has a tremendously helpful manager and outstanding reception staff that takes messages/faxes, helps with directions and orders taxis, as well as daily maid service, newspapers, laundry service if you want that, etc. There is a cozy cafe (Cafe Ebel) in the building if you want to bring in fresh croissants for breakfast, or meet up with your group for a hot chocolate after a day of walking. The suites are tastefully furnished and comfortable; they are elegant but rather plain and not opulent in the way that some boutique hotels are. RR is on a tiny dead-end street in Stare Mesto, about three blocks from Old Town Square (and a short walk from a Tesco supermarket where you can get breakfast and snack food); it's just steps from the thick of things but is extremely quiet. We had six people in two suites, ranging from age 16 to 80, and it was perfect for us.
