Perfect! A review of The Barn Inn Bed and Breakfast
We went online and searched for "Amish Country Inns, Ohio" and the most marvelous website came up about The Barn Inn. There were pictures and descriptions of each of the eleven rooms and, as an old retired travel agent, I was very impressed, so I booked it with no further recommendation than that of Tripadvisor's. It was everything we had hoped for. We stayed in the Rose Garden room which was charming. Deep, deep soaking whirlpool tub, soft wonderful bed, great big fluffy color matched towels, ....all the comforts of home. There was a beautiful view from the back balcony - a feature of every room - overlooking a lovely stream. We walked out over a wooden bridge and found this surprise gazebo sitting in the adjoining woods. The innkeepers keep a flock of curious sheep in the field, who were just as interested in seeing us as we were them.
Speaking of innkeepers, they were great! The place was quiet at the moment, only one other couple that night, so they gave me a peek at the unoccupied rooms and every one would have been just as satisfactory as our own. The inn has two very large luxury suites with balconies that are each fully equipped with outdoor dining furniture. All rooms have access to both downstairs and upstairs sitting areas, and there is a library and refrigerator within a few feet from all doors. At breakfast, large and delicious, we were asked what we enjoyed doing the most, what we had come to that area for, and when I told her that we were not shoppers, but loved to see the people and the countryside, she mapped out a route for us to drive that was absolutely charming!
We saw some wonderful things on that trip but the stay at The Barn Inn was the icing on the cake. We could not recommend it more highly.
