Perfect stay for families A review of Meriton Serviced Apartments Kent Street
We spent 2 weeks in the new Meriton on Kent street. We are a young family of 2 parents and 1 15 months toddler. Our needs are basically not to be spending our time in public transport, and to avoid restaurants with the little noisy one. We then chose a serviced apartment and found the new Meriton special rates given it's not completely built. The location is perfect - one block away from everything (Town Hall, Hyde Park, Chinatown and Pitt market, Darling Harbour all just one block away). It's just on the corner with the World Square shopping center where Coles and other food markets can be easily found (for nappies and baby food - there is even a kindergarden with accepts one-day visitors if there are available seats), together with a large number of small and large take aways. The room was great, with a nice balcony - although we were on 10th floor (labelled "20") with street view -, a separate bedroom, bathroom, cleaning machines, and a living room with open kitchen. The furniture was perfect, most of it brand new. Many kitchen tools still had the price sticker on them. We prepared food for us and the baby almost every evening.
A couple of things to improve:
1. The only major regret was the lack of wireless (and free) internet connection, we had to use the Starbucks nearby.
2. The elevators can be slow at peak time.
3. spa, gym etc non existing yet but will certainly be as nice as the rest.
