Perfect Rustic Elegance & Pet-friendly too ! A review of Emerson
The Woolrich meets Chanel, cashmere meets wool: the understated, tasteful luxury of the Lodge at Emerson Place(Catskill Corners) impressed us so much the first time we stayed that we have returned many times. Our golden retrievers are always thrilled with the river walk as well as the lavish attention they receive from the housekeeping staff. However, now that the lodge is officially associated with Emerson Place, it is less likely to be nice and offer a special rate which means we go less often than we'd like. The general store sells Diptique candles and penny candy;Woodstock is nearby with its slew of dining options and the Lodge offers three choices for eating varying from the kid-friendly Spotted Dog to afternoon tea across the road at Emerson. This is such an inviting place!
The answer: yes, of course!
The fact is that the Lodge has ALWAYS been a part of the Emerson complex. When the name changed from Catskill Corners, nothing changed at the Lodge. We still maintain an impeccable level of service and offer amenities that are unmatched in the region. And things are just getting better!
In 2006, we will open the new Emerson Inn & Spa. The Lodge will be joined by the new Inn, which will feature 26 luxury guest suites, and a new spa, with 10 treatment rooms, a cafe and a 1,500 square-foot fitness center. A new restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily to both Lodge and Innn guests, and the resort will have more than 5,000 square feet of new event/meeting space.
Throughout each operation, the Emerson's outstanding service and gracious staff will create a guest experience that is unparalleled in the Northeast.
