Perfect for the price... A review of Mayfair Hotel & Spa

I scored this hotel for an inexpensive price of $100/night. The room had a private balcony with a two person hot tub, a gorgeous bathroom, comfy bed and soft sheets. All the suites are unique and have different furniture. The service was great until checking out. The hotel had charged us for 7 days of valet parking - instead of just on the first night (when we valeted the car). The gentleman at the front desk argued with me about not informing the hotel we would not be valeting the car for the remainder of the week. Call it absurd, but I thought it was understood if we wanted valet we would pass over the keys to a valet attendant!!?? Eventually the man did take the charges off of our bill but not before thoroughly aggravating me. His attitude was not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. As the other review states, there is some what of an odor in the rooms. However, I did not find it as overwhelming as the other reviewer. This smell is quite common in most humid environments. The scalding hot then freezing cold, scalding hot then freezing cold shower is a little annoying at first, but I got used to it by day 7. Friday and Saturday nights are very loud in the Grove so don't plan on sleeping, especially during spring break weeks.

Overall I had a good time at this hotel but would not pay any more than $100/ night.
