Perfect for our requirements A review of Seascape Resort
My family stayed here for three nights in early August. We had done the same last summer. We booked a two bedroom, partial ocean view, in one of the south end buildings, specifically asking for an end unit. The end units have more windows, light, and less potential noise from next door. With two teenage girls it is ideal as each gets to invite a friend and there is plenty of room. Our most significant interaction with staff has been pretty much limited to the guys that bring you down to the beach in the carts, and they have been consistently polite and helpful. Phone calls to the front desk were always handled well, and housekeeping did a great job.
The beds were fine. The partial ocean view is what many hotels would call a full ocean view. There was never any question regarding rate as they confirm all reservations in writing and take a deposit for one nights lodging.
There are plenty of towels at the pool and the hot tub was excellent.
We use the kitchen primarily for breakfast, and to make sandwiches for the beach. It is more than sufficient for that. There is a terrific supermarket about 5 minutes away, called deluxe foods, to stock up on provisions.
The previous year we did their s'mores on the beach option, which was fun but expensive. We did it ourselves this year, buying everything we needed at the store, for a quarter of the price and it was more fun lighting our own fire.
While I know this is not a Ritz Carlton, it is excellent if you have similar needs as mine. My wife and I would probably not come here for a romantic getaway, but for the family, it is perfect. The only thing I wish they would add is a bathroom facility on the beach.
