Perfect family vacation A review of Atlantis - Harborside Resort
We took 4 teenagers (ages 15-19) to the Harborside Resort. I was not sure how they would like it, but they loved the whole week. I brought a suitcase (boxes not allowed) of food with us including pancake mix and syrup. I ordered some groceries on the Harborside grocery list (on their website) so when we arrived I had milk, water, butter, bread etc.. waiting for us in our condo. It was great. Saved alot of money on food this way. It was interesting that your room key acts as a charge card to your room bill. This was nice because you do not have to carry cash while at the Atlantis resort. Some of the things we really enjoyed on our trip was the fish and chips, and a drink called The Maimi Vice, you could purchase at the beach food stands. Also, My family went on a snorkeling trip with Stuarts Cove company. It was only 35.00 each which we thought was a deal. My son went Scuba diving with Bahamas Divers, and said it was a really nice experience. My favorite activity was a dinner cruise on an old viking ship. It was a sunset dinner cruise. We went by an old lighthouse, and danced aboard ship. The food was delicous too. I think it was called Viking Dinner Cruise, but it is the only one, guest serivces at Harbor side will know which one it was.
Another fun thing we did was walk over the bridge to a place called the shacks. This is where the locals sell their fish and vegtables. I had brought tortillas, so I bought fresh snapper from the locals and made fish tacos. The fish was just delicous. The slides at Atlantis are awesome, and the fish habitats are beautiful. Be sure to find the sea turtles, they were my favorite to watch and be sure to take a ride on the lazy river, it is really relaxing.
