We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel while visiting the Smoky Mountains

Park and found it to be generally very relaxing. The service was fast,

friendly and hassle free. We had made reservations months in advance

but for some reason did not get an upper room but had to settle for a

view of the parking lot with mountains in the background. Also the room

had only 2 full size beds and not queen size like most hotels that we

have stayed in.

We had our 8 year old son along and he enjoyed the pool very much. The pool area was enclosed so the humidity and chlorine smell were a bit strong. The windows next to the pool appeared to be (at one time) openable but were sealed shut. It would have been much more enjoyable if they were screened and open somehow.

The entrance to the hotel was a bit run down. While we were there one

of the two front doors became inoperable for most of the day. The

Brunch was a bargain for families and very good with lots of variety.

The dinner was very ordinary and not recommended. Try one of the other

established restaurants in the downtown area for dinner. If we were to

do it all over again we still would stay there mostly due to the

convenient location to the National Park entrance.
