Our favorite B & B Ever! A review of Hawthorn Inn
We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay at the Hawthorn. We stayed in the carriage house - well worth the extra money. The room was gorgeous, clean, and not cluttered as a lot of older B & Bs are. The decor was classic, antique, and thoughtful without feeling like "grandma's house". The gas fireplace was a treat, and the view off the terrace was priceless. The gardens are immaculate, and our favorite part was the absolutely romantic sunken tub in the bath. The bed was utterly comfortable, and the environmentally-concious touches like little baggies for used soap (so guests could take the luxurious organic soap with them rather than throw it away) was impressive. Breakfast was sublime with a delicate egg frittata laced with homemade sweet salsa and vanilla yogurt over impossibly fresh melon - yum. We love bed and breakfasts, and this has been our favorite in our young life - bravo!
