Ordinary A review of Holiday Inn Express Johnstown

Not a friendly reception and a small sign required an additional $3 for parking (since August). Yes, it's a small amount, but nickels & dimes add up. Anyway, one of the 2 elevators was unavailable (in repair). Good thing I was on the 2nd floor and could just run upstairs. I noticed dirty glasses and a cup on the floor by the elevator when I went up - these stayed there all afternoon and into the evening. The room was clean and comfortable with fridge, micro and coffee maker, so no faults there. And at the end of the hall, it was quiet. The fitness center has 4 machines, of which only 2 work (a bike and a treadmill). The indoor pool, sauna and hot tub were enjoyed by others as I labored at the bike. The restaurant, Harrigans, is convenient and has an extensive wine selection and attractive dessert viewing tray. The food was good but the bill was inaccurate and fortunately I caught the $8 overcharge and was assured that the computer entry was reset for future patrons. So, the room is fine, but the rest needs some attention.
