Orange Hill - a real vacation A review of Orange Hill Beach Inn
We visited Nassau the first week of Jan 04. We loved Orange Hill. It is laid back, friendly, quiet. Orange Hill's owners, Judy and Dennis Lowe, are welcoming you into their home. Other Orange Hill residents include an elderly dog and two cats who all have the run of the public spaces. We'd return to Orange Hill any time. Staying there felt like a complete vacation. Zero stress, zero crowds - lovely beach right across the street and we had an ocean view from our poolside (upstairs) room. Meals are available most days of the week and they're very good and reasonably priced by Nassau standards. Some units have kitchenettes so this is a way to cut certain meal expenses. Yes, it is out of the way, yet it is easy to get into Cable Beach or Nassau via the # 10 bus. Note: after 5pm, the buses are rare - just assume you'll take a taxi, although on two occasions, we got rides back with friendly local residents.
Our main interest is scuba diving. Orange Hill is has the best location in relation to the dive shops. You're the last to be picked up in the morning; first to be dropped off in the evening.
