Only so-so A review of Ramada Resort Port Douglas

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights back in April. Got a good deal online for the stay, but the room we got was pretty bad. We had no view at all, even though we were on the third floor. I don't remember what we faced since it was so disappointing that we just kept the curtains closed, plus we weren't in the room most of the time. Most of the corridors/elevators were outdoor, so there were some bugs and insects as we walked to our room. But along one of the staircases, there was this HUGE spider on its net, and the spider (including the legs) was about the size of my palm! I was already disturbed by this spider, but there were also geckoes (about the size of my pinky) in the room! They were everywhere - on the window curtain, in the bathroom, live and dead ones!

The hotel can be easily spotted as you drive on Port Douglas Road towards Port Douglas downtown. We rented a car, so we had no problem going to downtown (about 5-10 min away).

Breakfast was served at the restaurant by the pool. Food was ok, nothing too spectacular. The pool was also not too impressive either.

The reception and concierge were quite helpful though. We arrived at the hotel at around 9am, and they actually let us check-in early. Also, the concierge was great in helping us book one of the boat trips.

Overall, the Radisson Treetops offers good value but quality of the hotel is below par.
