One of a Kind A review of Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa
I recently stayed at Le Tahaa for 3 nights on my honeymoon. It is definitely like no other place I've ever been. We stayed in an over water bungalow and it was amazing, I really don't know what could have made the room better. I'd reccomend a Sunset Bungalow so you can enjoy the nightly nature show . You have to see it to believe it. The reception area and is nothing special but the dining area in the trees really was unforgetable. We had free breakfast and it was very good. high quality with a lot of great juices, pastries, and local fruit to go with your hot breakfast choice. Food is expesive and good but not amazing. The service here is good for French Poly. Everything is expensive in FP and you have to be prepared to pay a lot for things that are much cheaper everywhere else in the world. Also you need to realize that Tahtians don't move very quickly and you need to accept that they won't change their lifestyle just because you came so far and are spending so much money. There is not a lot to do while your there, other than relax and and enjoy the amazing surroundings. (there is geat snorkeling, kayaking and swimming if you're so inclined)My wife and I spent our first day just sitting on our deck amazed by the beauty and seclusion of the place. If your looking for nightlife and entertainment this is not the place for you. If you want a place to escape and relax without the need for entertainment I've never seen anything that compares to Le Tahaa. Also, If you go, I'd reccomend eating a Chez Louise on the main island one night. Lousie is a trip and the food is really good also. The hotel can arrange it. I also had a great Dive arranged through the dive shop at the hotel.
