Okay, for the budget conscious A review of Comfort Suites Paradise Island
My husband and I only stayed at the Comfort Suites because it had access to the facilities of the Atlantis Resort. We would have chosen to stay at Atlantis, but they were booked part of the days we were there the first week in February 2003. The Comfort Suites is an older building, not the best in terms of its layout, but reasonably clean. We could only find one elevator (the service elevator) to haul our bags up and down stairs. Not a place to stay if you are travelling with senior citizens or handicapped persons who have difficulty going up and down stairs, or need to walk distances. There's no room service so if you want a late night snack, forget it. At least they have in-room refrigerators, but no microwaves. Also, don't trust them with your mail. When I asked the front desk where to mail 4 stamped postcards, a female employee said she'd take care of it, yet nobody ever received my cards. Makes me wonder what they did with them. Overall, the only advantages were the access to the Atlantis resort, and the complimentary continental breakfast. For younger people or familes on a budget, this may be adequate depending on your lifestyle, but if you can afford it, save up your money and go stay at the Atlantis!
