Ok. stay there when it's been built. A review of Alma Hotel
Arrived behind a couple who were re-located across the street to another hotel. A cheerful man on the front desk in slightly chaotic surroundings. Lobby still being decorated, Lifts had paint still sticky on outside. I read reviews of this hotel from a couple of months ago saying the lobby was being worked on.
Our room temperature was cold and functionally decorated. The air-con controller soon helped get us warm. The shower was cold in the morning, but because we had booked a triple room, there was another shower; which worked. Breakfast was again functional, but absolutely fine.
After a great stay in Bruges, where hotels are cheaper, much nicer and have far better reviews, this brought us back down to earth with a mild bump.
Les Marolles markets are fun though + 'obligitory' waffles.
