OK if you're going to the theatre A review of The Brown Hotel

Stayed at the Brown the night of 5/19/04 because my mother and I were going to see the Moody Blues at the nearby Brown Threatre.

The building, especially the lobby, is beautiful and I highly recommend the restaurants. The staff is friendsly... It is right around the corner from the theatre so it is VERY convenient and you don't have to worry about parking.

HOWEVER I will say that the rooms were so-so. We stayed on the more expensive club level - you need your room key to activate the elevator to get to those floors. The room was bigger, had a great view and the furniture was pretty new BUT if it wasn't for the down matress pads the beds would have been unbearable. Also, I don't think the carpeting in the room has been cleaned since 1973. My socks were black on the bottoms from walking around the room for a bit. It reminded me of some of the older/cheaper hotels in Vegas.

I'd probably stay there again if I was going to the theatre BUT other than that, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
