Ok if You Get a Good Rate A review of Hyatt Regency Crystal City
I read the other reviews before posting mine and tend to agree with many of the observations. The hotel is older. I felt the beds were a little worn. The hotel is close to many shops and restaurants. The metro is about 9 blocks (1/2 mile) away. I too found the shuttle service running a little later than "every half hour". I did not have any bad encounters with the staff. Parking was $20 per day (a little steep for the area) and the breakfast stand was grossly overpriced ($3.25 for a bagel with butter!!).
The hotel has three bars/lounges which are supposed to stay open until 12am and 1am; all were closed by 11pm. I would only stay here again if I obtained a rate below $90 on one of the internet sites.
Crystal City is a great location for tourists to stay since it is quiet at night and convenient to everything. There are other hotels in the immediate area closer to the metro and probably nicer/newer.
