Ok hotel, but very old A review of The Charles Hotel
The hotel did indeed have lots of character, but it is very old and needs attention. The handle of our door fell off twice and the couches in our junior suite were practically threadbare. This being said, the room was overall very nice and the staff was great. they brought tea up to the room several times when we asked. the breakfast was just ok . . . sometimes a bit stale tasting. Also, there is not enough room in the breakfast room and they seat you with strangers . . . not a big deal, but we were honeymooners and really wanted to sit alone!!! Also, when we checked out they charged us a higher rate then i had agreed to over the internet. but, i had no proof of the rate and they just charged us the going rate . . . not a big deal. The location is very good . . . close to the charles bridge, but on the opposite side of where most of the attractions are (and charles bridge is long!!!) There is a really nice pizza place across the street.
