Nothing to write home about A review of Renaissance Long Beach Hotel

I had to stay here for a conference and was kinda disappointed with the hotel. It is great that it is located across the street from the convention center.

Upon entering my room, it was like a time warp to the 80's. All the furniture was scratched up and beaten up. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and the sheets smelled funny.

The bathroom was in DESPARATE need of help. There was no pressure in the shower and the sink had a problem when it came to getting hot water.

The lobby is very nice, the staff is very friendly and the gift shop is VERY overpriced (btw bring your own snacks there or give up a kidney for a bag of Doritos and a Coke)

Also, best thing to do is get your dinner EARLY so you dont have to leave your room. Long Beach has some VERY scary street and a lot of homeless people asking you for change. Take a cab and go to the Queen Mary, it was nice (dont eat on board it is $31 just for CHICKEN!)

I told my boss not to send me back there EVER!
