Nothing special A review of Marriott Minneapolis City Center
Stayed here in late March for one night.
The good - the room was spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, good cable TV selection.
The bad - $1.00 charge per local phone call (with a room rate of $185), asked for King, got two double even though most of the floor was empty, 5th floor restaurant food was adequate at best - dinner menu was not very extensive, breakfast buffet was better quality but overpriced, on the 22nd floor was awaken by a siren going by on the street, main entrance is not appealing, high speed internet is $10 per day. Bottle of water in the room - $4 if you drink it. As you can see, gouging the customer is in vogue here.
I was in and out of the Twin Cities in about 16 hours so I did not get to see much. This hotel was OK and I would stay here again if I had to, but would probably want to try something else if I have to go back again.
