Not your typical embassy suites A review of Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport
We have stayed a many Embassy Suites before, so we figured this one would be no different. We were there for Easter weekend when the weather was in the high 40's. Even though the hotel site advertises air conditioning, this is not the case. We were told to turn on the fan in our room and open the door to the balcony. Not exactly the safest way to sleep! We were miserable! It was about 80 degrees in the room as the sun bakes through the window all day. My son has allergies and asthma and could hardly breathe from the heat and perhaps mold or mildew in the room. The beds were hard with some of the cheapest sheets which were too small for the bed. The bathroom was old and in disrepair. Since we were so uncomfortable in our room we decided to use the indoor pool (a treat for my kids in the middle of winter) only to be told it would be out of service for most of the weekend! I will think twice the next time I stay at an Embassy Suites. The free breakfast did nothing to make up for the many nights of no sleep. THe hotel also needs to inform people that there is in fact, NO AIR CONDITIONING!
