Not worth the price. A review of Spruce Point Inn Resort and Spa
We stayed at the Spruce Point Inn July 28 and 29, 2004. I had selected it because Tauck Tours lists it as one of their New England places and they have a reputation for staying at the better hotels. It is a lovely location on a point in a residential area with a view of the harbor and a distant lighthouse. However, the room was not worth the price. We stayed in Main Inn 4. It was large and had two windows with views (one largely covered by an outside awning). The decor was garage sale shabby...faded fabric, lack of theme, not pulled together, outdoor carpet on floor, etc. Definitely not worth the price of $350 per night. Breakfast (you pay for it) tasted okay but we had to wait a long time for the food and service was poor...wait staff forgot things, didn't tend coffee, etc. We will not return to this place.
