Not worth the price for leisure travelers A review of Hyatt Regency Santa Clara

We stayed here Jun. 18-20, 2004, and had picked this location as it is walking distance to Great America Theme Park, as well as relatives in the area. We are Starwood members (but we got no offer of any upgrade although it totally appeared as though the hotel was well underbooked!) Room was a double on the 14th floor - very small room space & bathroom... but beds are very comfortable. The main drawback was that this property only offers 1 main restaurant - very limited and pricey menu. Honestly, on Sat. evening we saw only 1 couple dining in there! What a waste of space - they should open a coffe shop/cafe of some sort. Pool area is small - and there is no type of pool service. Nothing great to say - nothing horrible to say - basically very un-memorable... so wouldn't chose this place again for the price that Westin charges.
