Not worth it A review of O'Callaghan Hotel Annapolis

The rooms are nice enough, but nothing special.

Upon checking in, there was a mantle with numerous cards thanking the hotel & staff for wonderful stays. That's where it ends.

The staff at the front desk were short, curt and not at all helpful. We stayed there for a wedding and as we were waiting in the lobby for the shuttle to take us to the church, it took over 15 mins for a staff member to inform us the shuttle was "having problems" and wouldn't be able to take us. They didn't offer to call us a cab and told us there was no parking by the church (which wasn't true once we got there, after walking the mile).

Beware of the valet parking ~ they do not tell you but it's $11/day. When you pull in, you have no choice but to valet, there is no self parking. Plus they charge you each time you take your car out. Your other option is to try to find street parking.

Part of my family went to breakfast one morning. First, they charged my aunt for a buffet when all she had was cereal. After that was rectified, when they checked out, they realized they were charged twice for breakfast. Someone else just charged breakfast to their room, they don't even check names or anything. Funny little idea, but not when it happens to you!

Overall it just wasn't a pleasant experience. The wedding reception was at the Loew's down the street ~ which was gorgeous. Stay there for the extra $$ per night.
