Not what we booked and were confirmed A review of Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown
We booked several rooms on New Year's Eve and they were guranteed on a credit card. When we arrived our rooms with king beds had been giving out to other guests. At first they gave us a 10.00 discount and then after speaking with mgmt. they gave us our room at half price. After getting back home I called the general manager but spoke with his secretary (I think, she said she was second in charge) and she said they when you book a room with The Hilton you are not guranteed a room with a king bed but just a room. She said if another guest arrives before you and wants a king bed then they may give your room out. (Our rooms were guranteed on a credit card and were confirmed to have a king bed). She was not very concerned (to me she wasn't) and said this was all that was going to be done. I have contacted The Hilton's guest services and two different representatives said that when you book a room with a king bed and it is guranteed you are suppose to get that room. Very disappointed with the response from the North Raleigh Hilton and they said they have sent an email (have not seen it) and I called them and asked them to send it again and they said they would but we still have not seen it or have not been contacted by the general mgr. by phone like I asked to be. Guest services at The Hilton (Corporate, not North Raleigh Hilton) is sending a certificate for a free night's stay and I received a letter of apology from guest services.
