Not what I was confirmed with A review of SpringHill Suites Pensacola Beach
I spoke to reservations to make sure that I got a direct gulf front room and was told that was what I was paying $189/night for. When we arrived it was a side view of the gulf facing everyone else's balconies and overlooking the pool. I phoned the desk and he told me that was "gulf front". When I returned from my trip I looked on the net and the description was "direct gulf front". I e-mailed the hotel and the next day I called the guest relations office with Marriott. That afternoon I was informed by e-mail that I would get a response in 3 - 5 bus. days. Today is 2 weeks and I opened my e-mail to find out the manager of the hotel was offering me $10/night refund. I am not satisfied with that and informed her and she told me that I did have a view of the gulf, the pool and she forgot to mention everyone's balconies. I have never before stayed at a Marriott and will never again stay at one. Direct gulf front means just that. The mgr. did try to tell me they were only opened since July and I knew that, but they apparently don't even know what their rooms are called. I made a mistake on my first review. It was t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e.
