Not Up To Anyone's Standards A review of Comfort Inn Downtown
Stayed here for an extra long weekend impromptu visit at the end of February. The only nice thing I can say is that all of the staff were friendly and courteous. I booked Comfort Inn based on past good experiences all over North America. Problems: room was dirty; lounge chairs soiled beyond belief (I have left better chairs on the curb for the trash man);sheets did not fit bed;small, no, tiny TV;the radiator/AC unit cover was broken and just leaning against the wall; there was mildew on the shower curtain; one of those damned "water saver" shower heads so that we had to run around in the shower in order to get wet; coffee pot either not cleaned every day or when it was cleaned no replacement coffee bags were left; the phone was circa 1971 and none of the dialing instructions could be read; walls were paper thin (worse than usual); crappy connecting doos between every unit;of special interest to parents..slider window opened but no locking device and no screen and the hot water came out of the tap at above boiling temperatures. Everyone in my group had an unpleasant near-scalding incident. Sorry, but I wouldn't recommend this place to my ex mother-in-law.
