Not the best but not the worst B&B A review of Denali Dome Home Bed and Breakfast
My in-laws booked the Dome Home B&B for 3 nights, which is just outside the Denali National Park by about 11 miles. There are closer accomodations but the B&B was a nice home. We had an upstairs room right off the stairs. The host spent about 5 minutes telling us that we were not allowed in the kitchen during breakfast and to stay out of the cooks way. The hosts also have 2 black Scottish Terriers. Cute dogs but if you plan on sleeping in, forget it. Each morning the host(s) would let them out around 6:45-7:00AM and they would immediately start barking. To our chagrin, the host would then yell at the dogs to shut up and whistle at them to come back inside.
They put out croissants and muffins and fruit that they purchase from Cosco and the cook will make your choice of pancakes(had them the first morning and would not recommend them.) French toast, which was fine and eggs any style. My wife had scrambled eggs and only took a few bites. I noticed other people who ordered scrambled eggs did not eat much of them so the eggs aren't too great either. Might be becasue the cook uses a liberal amount of margarine to coat the frying pan. They also have cold cereal about 4 different choices plus oatmeal. The second night the hosts had an argument with their daughter who is in HS, so that was not pleasant.
The rooms are nice size and the bed was comfortable and quite time starts at 10PM. They have a computer with internet access that you can use too. My in-laws enjoyed the stay but I would stay elsewhere next time.
