Not Terribly Impressed..But OK. A review of BEST WESTERN PLUS at Lake Powell
We booked this hotel as somewhat of a last resort--My little family did the big loop around the 'Canyon in October, and needed somwhere to stay beween Bryce and Monument Valley. After our first choices were found to be booked up, we settled on the Best Western at lake Powell. I suppose it proved somewhat satisfactory, but the hotel in general seemed to be in a certain state of decay--it just seemed older than the others we had stayed at. While I don't have any terribly specific complaints,(other than the fact that the staff apparently turns off the A/C when units are unoccupied--leaving rooms humid, musty, and hot when you check in) The room in general left me with an undefinable sense of malaise. That's all. It was OK, but I've certainly stayed in better. For all you doing research, BOOK EARLY for rooms in the 'Grand Circle' region--even in the off-season, they book up quick!!!
