Not great, not terrible A review of Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria

The room decor was above average; especially nice were the b/w treated photos. Amenities pedestrian. I had no hot water, but someone came up and fixed it without necessitating a move. The New York Times is not available, only USA Today. Parking fee is outrageous for a suburban property, however on weekends and nights after five street parking is free. Daytime, two hour max. Dsl access $10. Pets are welcomed without a fee, which is really nice. You can get a great rate online, but don't try to change it, even in an emergency (blizzard shut down I-95), not only will your request not be accommodated, you will be treated like a criminal for booking through a discount outlet. This is comparable to how airlines treat you for getting a "free" ticket on mileage; they fail to note that you flew around the world six times for the freebie, and they initiated this program to start with. If the hotels don't want you booking online at a discount, they should not offer their property.
