Not for the business traveler! A review of Inn at Montchanin Village
I recently stayed at the Inn at Montchanin in conjunction with business in the greater Wilmington area: I had once previously dined at the property's Krazy Kats restaurant, so I was familiar with the Inn's beautiful facilities and anticipated a great stay. What a disappointment. While this may be a great get-away spot for the leisure traveler, it is nearly impossible to conduct any business while staying there. Clearly the proprietors of the Inn have not embraced 21st century technology: no high-speed internet on the property, slow fax service, no reliable business services, not to mention a web site that does not take reservations. The one positive experience was the gracious and professional assistance I received from the Krazy Kats young restaurant manager who knocked himself out to keep my business associates happy. So, if you stay at the Inn, leave your laptop and cell phones behind: otherwise you will be frustrated.
