Not for Budget Travelers A review of Hilton Short Hills
I was impressed the moment my taxi arrived, as I recieved gracious smiles from the bellhop, the doorman, and then the front desk. Overall the staff was great. I travel at least two nights a week and I cannot recall friendlier staff anywhere. They do make you feel like a VIP.
The rooms are beautiful, from the carpet to the marble bathroom floors to the wood ( cherry maybe? ) furniture, to the VERY comfortable bed.
The only thing I could possibly complain about is the fact that you have to pay extra for the wireless internet. ( like $9.95 ). And, the prices in the gift shop are outrageous ( $9.95 for a pack of Marlboros ). I didnt try the restaraunt or bar, but I can only imagine it is pretty steep.
Overall, very beautiful place, but for $245 a night, I would certainly look for a Holiday Inn or Hampton or even a nice Super 8 next time. If $ is not a concern, sure, stay here.
