Not bad for one night A review of Days Inn JFK Airport
This motel is good for one combination of travel circumstances - a late arrival into JFK and a desire to save some money on Manhattan hotels.
I landed at 10:30 pm, and took the Air Train to the Federal Circle station (free) where a hotel shuttle swings by every 20 minutes. There is no sign, and no phone to call the hotel. But just wait with the other hotel shuttles pass, and you will be ok.
My room was small and clean, and faced a school bus depot with enough noise that I was up at 7 am. The breakfast was better than nothing, with the Kellog's cereal and orange juice being adequate and the rest of the food products substandard. The return shuttle does only run once an hour (on the half hour), and the train into NYC will cost you $7 if you switch to the "E" train at Jamaica.
