Not bad at all! A review of Hyatt Regency Cincinnati
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cincinnati Hyatt Regency from 7/16/04 through 7/18/04. We were able to get a decent rate from Priceline.com, so we weren't expecting much.
We arrived Friday night around 10pm. We wanted to do Valet, but the lot was full so we were forced to self park. However, we were given a map and directions to the garage that the hotel recommends. This garage is not that far away and there is a skybridge that connects the garage to the hotel so you don't have to walk along the street.
Check in was easy and painless. We then went to wait for an elevator to our room. A Reds game had just finished and since we were within walking distance to the park, the lobby and elevator area was packed. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes to get an elevator up to our room. Once there though, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very tastefully decorated and we had an amazing view of the river, Great American Pall Park and Paul Brown Stadium.
We ordered room service several times and the staff was very nice and accommodating to our special requests. The St. Louis Cardinals were also staying at the hotel, so one night we were warned when ordering our room service that they were using the elevators and that it would take us awhile to get our food. We ordered dessert and waited an hour for it. However, the staff was very apologetic about the situation. Bottom line-the room service food was excellent and not that expensive at all.
The room was quite nice and everything worked well. The one thing that I had a problem with though was the size of the vanity in the bathroom. It was quite small and we were forced to store most of our toiletries on the ground. However, the water pressure in the shower was amazing for a hotel.
Check out was quite easy as well. We had no problems what so ever. While we were waiting for our receipt, a woman brought up her receipt and said that she was incorrectly charged for a dinner at one of the hotel restaurants. The staff member apologized for the error and removed it from her receipt. No questions asked.
All in all- the stay was excellent. Every staff member we spoke with was very polite and always willing to help us with directions or whatever we needed. For the Priceline price that we paid, this hotel was excellent!
