Not as bad as the reviews have stated A review of Sheraton Annapolis Hotel
I booked a weekend stay at the Sheraton annapolis, as we wanted to visit Six Flags on Saturday, then visit the waterfront area on Sunday. I then read the reviews on this site and was worried I made a poor choice. So i called up the hotel, and spoke to Tracy Sensibaugh, who was very helpful. She assured me that there was new management in place, and they were aware of the problems.
I asked if we could be upgraded to the club room, as it seemed there were less problems w/ those rooms, since we were starwood members (free to enroll - just go online) she obliged.
Checking in was very pleasant - they made sure we had a room on the quieter side, and were very nice. They were able to get us in a few hours before check-in time.
The room was actually fine, and clean. The bathroom was marble, and the tub had a crescent rod. they had a coffee maker, 2 big bottles of water complimentary which was nice.
I noticed the wallpaper peeling - no big deal - but I did notice the slight musty odor - which they say "will be addressed". But as soon as I turned on the A/C fan the smell dissipated.
I dont know how the rooms were on the regular floors, but apparently they will be going thru renovations.
The kids ate free, and they gave us free breakfast coupons since we staying on the clublevel.
food was ok at the restaurant - nothing to rave about, but not bad either.
area was ok - in a "restaurant park" so that is convenient if you want to eat elsewhere.
all in all, it was a decent place to stay.
