Not all rooms are good A review of Hotel Waldstein
We chose this hotel because of the reviews on this site, and were disappointed with our room. Each room is different (apparently), and ours was rather small, long and narrow - it was rather like sleeping in a corridor with the two beds lined up along one side of the room. The other problem was that because it was on the ground floor looking out onto the courtyard, everyone could see in unless we had our curtains closed. We asked to be moved, but the hotel was full. I got the impression that they would have moved us if they could.
Having said all that, the room was clean, warm and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location fairly close to the Charles Bridge and to the Castle.
We thought the breakfast was good. Lots of choice, and there was always a bottle of champagne (well something fizzy) available.
All in all this hotel didn't seem very good value, though it seems that Prague hotels generally are pretty pricey, so we may not have done better elsewhere.
