Not a great choice A review of The Westin Westminster

The rooms here are actually fine. A bit small, but new & nice. There is no place in the bathroom to hang your towel. Not a single towel rack. The coffee was terribly old in the room & undrinkable. It costs $16.00 a day to make unlimited calls from your room.

Saturday evening, the bar was packed & they did not have a single wait staff serving the bar. I don't understand how on a Saturday night, with a convention booked in the hotel, you don't think to have a server ready. People were very angry.

We went there for one reason...to relax in a hot tub. For two days the hot tub was not operational. The pool is not nearly as nice as the photo on their web page would indicate. The pool is very small.

I asked for a high up room above the 7th floor, I asked a month in advance & was given a 4th floor room. The front desk clerk would not give me a higher room when I asked.

The resturant was horrible. We got the seafood platter. Everything tasted the same. We were not given any plates. There was no sauces served with the seafood. We were not given a wet cloth afterwards to wash our hands, after cracking lobster & crab. This was some of the worst food in town

During checkout, no one asked us if our stay was fine. The computer system was broken & they could not check us out. No one offered to carry our bags.

The bartender earlier in the afternoon did not konw how to make a cosmo. The staff were very indifferent. I will not be staying here again.
