Noisy location and poor service A review of A Little Dream
We spent 3 nights at A Little Dream September 2004. We would not recommend this Inn because of the highway traffic noise and the inn keepers. On arriving and being shown to our carriage house suite, she pointed out all the not to do's, like not to use washclothes for makeup removal, don't sit glasses on marble tables, be quiet, and do not walk around in the main house- may disturb other guest. So from the begiining we felt as if we may do something wrong. We have stayed at many 5 star inns across the country and have never been treated in this manner. Also there was no coffee available except at breakfast seating. When we requested, the inn keeper said she would bring it but most of her guests never request coffee, and to have a coffee table set up in the lobby would disturb other guest. The breakfast was delicious but felt uncomfortable. When asked about reservations at restaurants and activites, she said it was best for us to call and not her. She seemed too busy to help. At $300.00 a night, one would expect more service and a quiet peaceful rest, not the sound of trucks driving by.
